まん延防止等重点措置の延長についての市長コメント（2022年2月18日）

2月20日（日曜日）までの期限となっていた茨城県のまん延防止等重点措置について、3月6日（日曜日）まで延長することが発表されました。大井川知事からは、延長の期間においても、飲食店への営業時間短縮、県民に対して、感染リスクの高い場所への外出・移動の自粛や、同一テーブルでの会食は4人まで等が要請されています。
一方、リモート授業が要請されていた小学校については、感染の低減傾向が見られることから、2月21日（月曜日）以降は通常登校に緩和されます。ご家庭での皆様のご協力に心からお礼申し上げます。

新規陽性者数は依然として多い状況が続き、病床稼働数は増加傾向です。オミクロン株は感染が高止まりする可能性も指摘されています。市民や事業者の皆様には、ご負担をおかけしますが各要請に引き続きのご協力をお願いいたします。

Mayor’s comment regarding the extension of intensive COVID measures (February 18, 2022)

Provisional Translation

Ibaraki Governor Oigawa announced that intensive COVID measures which were due to end on Sunday, February 20 would be extended until Sunday, March 6. The Governor urged restaurants and bars in the Prefecture to shorten their opening hours, and also requested the residents to avoid non-essential travel to places with high risk of infection and to limit the number of people to four when eating out in a group during the extended period.
Meanwhile, the request to elementary schools to hold classes online has been lifted and they will be open as usual from Monday, February 21 because COVID-19 cases among school children and staff show a downward trend. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who cooperated in this request.

The number of new positive cases still remains high and the number of occupied hospital beds is also on the increase. Furthermore, it is indicated that the omicron variant could continue to spread at a high rate. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our residents and businesses, but I would like to kindly ask for your continued cooperation.
