茨城県知事によるまん延防止等重点措置の適用等についての市長コメント（2022年1月26日）

国からのまん延防止等重点措置の適用を受けて、茨城県から、県内全域をまん延防止等重点措置の対象区域として指定することが発表されました。期間は1月27日（木曜日）から2月20日（日曜日）までです。この期間について、飲食店には酒類を提供せずに午後8時以降の営業自粛か、酒類の提供ありで午後9時以降の営業自粛かの選択が要請されています。要請期間全てご協力頂いた場合、協力金が支給される予定です。県民には県外との不要不急の往来自粛、同一テーブルでの会食は4人まで、学校では部活動の練習試合は県内の2チーム以内等が要請されています。

知事からは、感染の急拡大により社会経済活動の維持に支障が生じているという危機感が示されていますが、つくば市内でもこれまでにない数の陽性者が発生しており同じ危機感を持っています。市民や事業者の皆様には、さらなるご負担をおかけすることをとても心苦しく思いますが、各要請にご協力いただくとともに、改めて感染防止の徹底にご協力をお願いいたします。

Mayor’s comment: Implementation of intensive COVID measures by Ibaraki Governor (January 26, 2022)

Provisional translation

Based on the central government’s decision to apply intensive COVID measures (Man-en Boshi-to Juten Sochi) to Ibaraki Prefecture, the Governor designated the entire Prefecture as being subject to such measures. The measures take effect from Thursday, January 27 to Sunday, February 20. During this period, restaurants and bars in the Prefecture are urged to either close at 8pm without serving alcoholic beverages at all, or close at 9pm if serving alcoholic beverages. If they comply with either one of these requests for the entire period, subsidies will be provided accordingly. In addition, the Governor requested all residents to avoid non-essential travel to and from outside the Prefecture, and to limit the number of people to four when eating out in a group. He also requested that the school sports clubs should limit the number of teams to two in the Prefecture for practice matches.

We share the same sense of crisis with the Governor that the surge in infections is causing socio-economic disruption because we are facing an unprecedented number of cases in Tsukuba City as well. We sincerely hesitate to put any further burden on our residents and businesses. However, we kindly ask you to cooperate with the requests from the Governor, and once again to thoroughly observe all the preventative measures.
