茨城県知事による茨城県非常事態宣言についての市長コメント（2021年8月16日）

本日（8月16日）、大井川知事が記者会見を行い、本日付けで茨城県非常事態宣言を発令することが発表されました。期間は8月16日（月曜日）から8月31日（火曜日）までとなります。知事からは、災害級の事態であることの危機感が共有されました。この期間について、外食を控えテイクアウト、特にワクチン接種が済んでいない40～50代の方の出勤・外出の極力自粛、すべての商業施設等の入場を通常時の2分の1に制限等が要請されています。また、すべての県有施設の休館も発表されています。

県内の新規陽性者が爆発的に拡大したことで医療機関は非常にひっ迫しており、県は、医療機関に対して不急の入院・手術の延期などによる最大限の病床確保を要請するなど、通常の医療体制にも大きな影響を与えています。
市民の皆様、そして事業者の皆様におかれましては、通常医療にも影響を及ぼすほど極めて厳しい状況が続いていることをご理解いただき、各要請にご協力をお願いいたします。繰り返しにはなりますが、お一人おひとりがご自身、そしてご家族の命を守るため、感染リスクの高い行動は必ず控えていただくとともに、最大限の感染防止の徹底をお願いいたします。

Mayor’s comment regarding tighter prefectural state of emergency by Ibaraki Governor (August 16, 2021)

At a press conference today (August 16), Ibaraki Governor Kazuhiko Oigawa announced his decision to implement a tighter prefectural state of emergency from Monday, August 16 to Tuesday, August 31. The Governor shared his concern that this is a disaster-level situation. During this period, please avoid dining out and use take-out services as much as possible. Also, please avoid nonessential outings and work from home as much as possible, especially if you are in your 40s or 50s and haven’t been vaccinated. All businesses have also been asked to limit their visitors to half of the usual number, and all Prefectural-owned facilities will be closed.

Due to the explosion of new positive cases in the prefecture, medical institutions are under extreme pressure, and the prefecture has requested medical institutions to secure the maximum number of hospital beds by postponing urgent hospitalizations and surgeries, which is causing a major impact on the regular medical system.
We would like to ask all citizens and business owners to understand that the situation is so severe that it is affecting regular medical services, and to cooperate with these requests. Again, in order to protect your own lives and the lives of your family members, we ask that you refrain from all activities that increase the risk of infection and that you take all possible measures to prevent infection.
