茨城県まん延防止警戒期間の終了についての市長コメント（2021年4月9日）

本日、大井川知事が定例記者会見を行い、「茨城県まん延防止警戒期間」を予定どおり4月10日に終了することが発表されました。知事からは、全国的に感染拡大が続いている中、県内では、皆様のご協力のもと、感染状況を一定程度に抑制できているとの説明がありました。一方で、県内でも変異株による感染事例が複数確認されるなどの懸念事項があることも踏まえて、検査体制の拡充、飲食店の感染防止対策の徹底状況の見回り等を強化していくとのことです。

県内では本日38名の感染者が判明し、つくば市では1名の感染が県から発表されました。今後感染が拡大していく可能性があることから、知事からもありましたように、市民の皆様におかれましては、まん延防止等重点措置区域との不要不急の往来の自粛、「マスクなし」をなくす行動変容、会食時の感染症対策の徹底など感染防止の取組に引き続きのご協力をよろしくお願いいたします。

Mayor’s Comment on Ending “Period of Vigilance to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 in Ibaraki Prefecture” (April 9, 2021)

Ibaraki Governor Oigawa held a press conference today and announced that he would end the “Vigilance Period to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 in Ibaraki Prefecture” on April 10 as scheduled. The Governor explained that while the infection is still spreading nationwide, the infection status in the Prefecture is under control to some extent, thanks to the cooperation of the residents. On the other hand, he announced that the Prefectural Government would take additional action such as enhancing the capabilities for COVID-19 testing and measures for preventing infections at restaurants and bars even more thoroughly, acknowledging that there were some concerns where several variant cases had been detected in the Prefecture.

In Ibaraki Prefecture, 38 people were found positive today and in Tsukuba City, there was 1 positive case. The number of cases could go up in the future, so as the Governor mentioned, I would kindly ask residents of Tsukuba City to continue to thoroughly observe preventative measures such as avoiding non-essential travel to and from the specific areas where “Semi-emergency COVID-19 Spread Prevention Measures” are in place, wearing face masks as much as possible and taking thorough preventative measures when dining with other people.
