茨城県知事による飲食店の営業時間短縮要請等についての市長コメント（2021年1月8日）

本日、大井川知事が記者会見を行い、つくば市を含む10市町を感染拡大市町村に追加し、感染拡大市町村における全ての飲食店を対象に1月12日（火曜日）まで午後8時から午前5時の間の営業自粛要請（酒類の提供は午後7時まで）を行うことが発表されました。営業自粛の要請期間全てにご協力頂いた場合、つくば市においては、茨城県が協力金として1店舗当たり20万円を支給予定と発表しています。

本日、県内での感染者は120名を超え、2日連続で過去最多を更新し、市内でも、15名の感染者が判明しました。市民や事業者の皆様におかれましては、大変ご負担をおかけしますが、不要不急の外出自粛要請、営業時間短縮要請へのご協力をお願いいたします。また、明日から3連休となりますが、引き続きマスクの着用を含む咳エチケット、手洗い、人と人との距離の確保、3密を避けるなど感染予防策の徹底をよろしくお願いいたします。

Comment from the Mayor following the announcement of Ibaraki Prefecture (January 8, 2021)

Provisional Translation

Today (January 8), Governor Oigawa requested that all restaurant businesses in 10 cities and towns in the prefecture, including Tsukuba, are required to voluntarily suspend business from 8:00pm to 5:00am (with alcoholic beverages being served only until 7:00pm) from today to Tuesday, January 12.
Ibaraki Prefecture intends to provide cooperating bars/restaurants the amount of 200,000 yen per business as compensation for the temporary closure if they stay closed for the entire period as requested by the governor.

Today, more than 120 people tested positive in Ibaraki, and this is the second day in a row that we have exceeded the previous daily records. Also 15 people tested positive in Tsukuba.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to citizens and businesses, but ask for your cooperation in refraining from going out and shortening business hours. A three-day weekend starts tomorrow, but please continue to observe basic preventative measures such as maintaining social distancing, wearing face masks, washing hands thoroughly, and avoiding the 3 Cs (closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings).
