1都3県への緊急事態宣言及び茨城県知事による要請等についての市長コメント（2021年1月7日)

本日、1都3県（東京都、千葉県、埼玉県、神奈川県）を対象に緊急事態宣言の発令が決定されました。茨城県でも大井川知事が記者会見を行い、県内全域を対象に、1月7日（木曜日）から1月20日（水曜日）までの不要不急の外出自粛要請が発表されました。

本日は全国、そして茨城県でも感染者数が過去最高となり感染が拡大しています。市民の皆様には、茨城県の不要不急の外出自粛要請へのご協力をお願いするとともに、1都3県との不要不急の往来の自粛や、マスク着用の徹底、いばらきアマビエちゃんの利用等、感染拡大防止への取組に引き続きご協力をお願いいたします。ご理解とご協力をよろしくお願いいたします。

Comment from the Mayor following the state of emergency declared for Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama and Chiba, and a request from Governor of Ibaraki (January 7, 2021)

Provisional Translation

Today, Japan’s government declared a state of emergency for Tokyo and three neighbouring prefectures (Chiba, Saitama and Kanagawa). In Ibaraki Prefecture, Governor Oigawa held a press conference and made a request to the entire Prefecture to refrain from going out for all but the most essential tasks from Thursday, January 7 to Wednesday, January 20.

The number of COVID-19 infected cases is rising and has reached a record high nationwide, as well as in Ibaraki Prefecture as of January 7. Given such a situation, we would like to ask all residents of Tsukuba City to cooperate with the request from Ibaraki Prefecture to refrain from going out unless absolutely necessary. Please also continue to cooperate in measures against the spread of infection by avoiding non-essential travel to and from Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama and Kanagawa, wearing face masks, and registering with “Ibaraki Amabie-chan” which is a COVID-19 tracking system. We are thoroughly grateful for your understanding and cooperation.
