茨城県知事による外出自粛要請等の解除についての市長コメント（2020年12月12日）

本日（12月12日）、大井川知事が記者会見を行い、つくば市について不要不急の外出自粛要請と営業時間短縮要請を12月13日（日曜日）をもって解除することが発表されました。

茨城県からはつくば市を含む市町では人口1万人当たりの新規陽性者数が1.5人を下回り（つくば市1.1人）、この国指標についてステージ2相当となったことから解除したとの説明がありました。基準値を上回る土浦市、つくばみらい市、利根町には12月20日までの不要不急の外出自粛要請等が出されています。

今回の解除に至りましたのは市民や事業者の皆様のご協力のおかげです。年末そして2021年を安心して迎えるため、解除以降も慎重な行動が求められます。これから年末年始の季節行事においても、人が集まるのを避けたり、テイクアウトを積極的にご利用いただく等、感染リスクの高い行動は十分ご注意いただくようお願いいたします。

Comment from the Mayor following the announcement of the Governor of Ibaraki (December 12, 2020)

Provisional Translation

On December 12th, Governor Oigawa held a press conference announcing that the request to refrain from going out unnecessarily and to shorten business hours in Tsukuba City will be lifted on Sunday 13th December.

The governor explained that the request can now be lifted in certain cities since the number of newly positive infected cases has dropped to below 1.5 per ten thousand people in those cities.  (It is now 1.1 in Tsukuba.)  This is equivalent to Stage 2 in the national index. However, please note that the request has been extended for Tsuchiura City, Tsukubamirai City and Tone Town until December 20 since the numbers in those areas have not decreased.

We would like to thank the residents and business owners in Tsukuba, as it is due to their cooperation that these restrictions can now be relaxed. We still need to act with discretion to be able to finish this year and welcome the start of 2021 safely. Especially during the festive year end season, please continue to take precautions, such as avoiding crowded places, and using take out services in order to avoid the risk of infection.
