We are looking for foreign residents who can support others

Tsukuba City is an international city, home for foreign residents from about 150 countries. The city government and the International Association (TIA) are conducting activities to support the daily lives of foreign residents, and we are looking for people who are willing to cooperate in these activities. In principle, there is no reward, but we are planning to hold study sessions and opinion-exchange meetings for those who have registered as supporters. If you are interested in these activities, or if you have a strong desire to help others, please apply.

We are looking for;

• Those who are willing to support the local community and other foreign residents living in the city.
• Those who would like to participate in study sessions and exchanges of opinions for the enhancement of "International City Tsukuba".
• Those who are willing to cooperate with the local government in providing information to other foreign residents in the event of a disaster, etc.
• Those who are willing to cooperate in offering daily information to other foreign residents in multiple languages.
• Foreign residents who settle in the local community
• Those who have foreign nationality or roots in a foreign country
• Those who want to make use of their experience living abroad.
• Those who would like to communicate with other foreign residents in the community.

What we would like to ask;

• Cooperation in sending out information (in foreign languages or easy Japanese)
  • →Information useful in daily life
  • →Information on how to prepare for natural disasters (earthquakes, typhoons,
    heavy rain, etc.) on a daily basis
  • →Information on evacuation centers, etc. in the event of a disaster
• Participation in study groups, opinion exchange meetings, and lectures

We are planning to conduct various other activities based on your opinions.

Only requirement for registration;

Must be able to communicate with city staff in Japanese or English
